Excited!

Oh my god I am so happy that I checked my calendar today!  I thought I had two events at one time.  Turns out I do not.

But I do have one really cool one that I am super excited about.  WHAT!  Yes that is right, real people, real cocktails, real teachers! Woo Hoo!!!!!!

IF you ever visit Minneapolis I highly suggest Brit's Pub.  They have lawn bowling!!!!!

I am so excited to meet these women and pick their brains I can not stand it!  I will be sure to take loads of pictures and post first thing tomorrow.

Also this week I completed (well I have to write the final lesson plan(a graphing lesson using the sea turtle's migration-will post for free!) and research paper(on I have no idea what)) a grad class called Turtles Of The World.  I quite literally spend three days at the Como Zoo in St. Paul, learning about Chelonians, or turtles, tortoises, and terrapins.  IT was a really interesting class I am going to share with you some of my favorite photos from this week and one link that I think we can all use!

This is Buzz.  A polar bear who happened to come visit us every day in the morning.  He would bask in the sun of the early morning as it was only 84 in the morning...as opposed to 97 in the mid morning-afternoon.  It was fun having a polar bear as a classmate for three days.

This is a radiating tortoise.  Notice the radiating lines-mostly this was the only one I could remember it's name.

THis is a female pancake tortoise.  She recently laid eggs...

Holy crap!  thought having a baby was tough.  Just go back and look at the size of Pancake. Then look at these eggs again.

This ugly little guy is called a Matamata.  They are native to South America where natives will not eat them because they are so ugly.  Their name literally means "it kills it kills"

But look at that smile.  He is almost so ugly he is cute!  They are not poisonous just ugly. 

THis is Marco.  She is a 21 year old Galapagos Tortoise.  She was super cute. 

The cool thing is that because Marco is nearly 350 pounds they had to train her to move, so that they could get her on the scale, or just go outside when they wanted her to.  They use a clicker, just like I am with Angus. Super cool.

After her training she got to eat a huge piece of watermelon!  Yum!

OK ONE THING ON Chelonian Conservation and I will leave you alone.  Do you shop at AMAZON.COM?  I do.  A LOT.  While i was doing research on conservation I came across one link....http://www.turtlesurvival.org.

Ok off my soapbox.

I have a TON to post.  Since I am new to this I am wondering how y'all do it.  Do you plan out what you are going to post each day?  DO you post when it comes to you?  How many posts is too many in one day?  How long is too long for a post?

Surely someone has already made a blogging post etiquette and planning post!!!
